There is so much busyness. work, kids, school, friends, family, world events, and then you get to think about all those things.
The importance of quieting your mind helps you to manage and stay at peace when sorting through these life actions.
First, you need to know what you can do to quiet them down.
Quieting is a decision
We decide so many things for the day. What you’re going to eat, what you’re going to wear, and the type of mood that you’ll decide to be in.
Quieting your mind is no different.
You need to decide to find the space between your thoughts and hold it.

Thoughts will come and go, and deciding to find quiet time will allow you to hold the space longer.
In the quietness, you connect with God to allow him to guide you throughout the day.
You become the space for him to work through you and with that, you don’t have so much to think about.
Perceiving your thoughts
Do you ever watch the thoughts race through your mind? You are observing what’s going on in the shit storm of thoughts.
As you sit back and watch the thoughts do you ever wonder what you’re accomplishing.
Most of the time when our thoughts are racing we are stuck in worry and fear. We feel heavy with doubt and uncertainty.

Where your focus goes, your energy flows, and I know that’s not the life you want to create.
Perceiving your thoughts will allow you to stand back and watch what’s happening, allowing it to let you learn what needs to be healed within your spirit and allowing you to heal those fears.
At the same time, those thoughts will quiet down.
Forgiving things you can’t change
By this point in your life, I’m certain you’ve likely heard the serenity prayer.
If not it goes like this, “God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference.”
When we accept the things, we can’t change we can also turn them over to God.
You know deep in your heart that everything you think is teaching you about where you are on your path.
In our limited human vision, we don’t always get to understand what it’s for or how it’s supposed to teach us.
When we give over the thoughts to God the answer will always be provided.

It may not be provided on our timeline but eventually, we will understand what it’s for.
Giving your thoughts to God seals your faith and demonstrates trust and understand that he is always with you.
This will bring you peace and help you quiet the thoughts in your mind.
Try to be less busy this week in your mind,
Agape ❤,
Missy
