
The word of the day is heteronym.
I heard a word that is an interesting heteronym.
Re-creation or Recreation.
I teach people on a daily basis to re-create their thoughts.
There has to be a re-creation of negative thoughts in their mind when they re-create and it has to be fun, which is short for recreation.
I’m so proud of you for re-creating things in your mind, but is it a chore?
A forced effort to do so?
If so, try to make it a game.
Your brain will respond easier to something that’s fun.
Set yourself a trigger that reminds you to be mindful of the thought habit / belief you want to change, sort of like a power up you would have in a game.
Then give yourself a reward after catching yourself in the bad habit and pivoting away from the negative thought, such as five minutes of doing something you enjoy… Check out random cat videos, I hear they are a hit.
