What if this holiday season you could give yourself a gift?
The gift could be anything that you want but if you really wanted something that would last I suggest you give yourself the gift of peace.
Doing that can be easier than you imagine.
Connecting through peace.
The holidays are all about connecting.
Giving to and loving each other. Spending time with family and friends.
Not necessarily about material things yet it’s turned a little into that.
The origin of Christmas years ago was to celebrate the birth of the savior, Jesus Christ.
I know most of us know that although some of us aren’t into practicing religion.
And there’s nothing wrong with that.
However, in this time and age, we steal our peace.
We separate ourselves from one another, we compete over the biggest and most expensive gifts.

Money and what we spend it on becomes anxiety and fear.
We all like to receive, and when you extend yourself to others you can better connect with them.
The spirit of life, not just Christmas, can only see love and sees everyone as an extension of themselves.
Our alter ego, or ego, that we created would have us believe that not everyone is an extension of you.
Connect with others by extending yourself and seeing you in them and them in you.
Finding peace through thought.
Did you know that you are supposed to be nice to yourself?
I mean a few of you might be going… Well duh.
Yet if I have any martyrs in the house then they will clearly know this is for them.
It may sound silly, but I noticed as soon as I began to be kind to myself there was a lot less thought traffic.
My world became peaceful.
I stopped believing the lies and I stopped looking for proof to confirm those lies in my circumstances.

If a client departed I was able to wish them well, rather than listen to my thoughts saying I was a failure or wasn’t good enough.
Some of us don’t know that there is a choice. That we get to choose what we listen to.
The ego’s job is to get you to believe you are your thoughts and your body.
And that the mind is a slave to the ego.
When this was first revealed to me I didn’t realize how my big ego kept me separate from others.
It was a lonely, cold and chaotic place in which I lived.
Give yourself permission to believe only the things that serve you.
Creating peace through love.
A wise teacher once told me, in loving me I love you and in loving you I love me.
This saying is not a play on words.
It’s what’s true and what’s true never needs proof.
Sometimes it needs a little explaining though.
When you begin to extend yourself and see every living creature as part of you, your light truly shines through.
That light is not ours it’s the light of the Father and the holy spirit.
We are the son of the Creator. No matter whether you call it God, The universe, source, Mother Earth.

The light of that creation is us and you can only stand in the light by choice.
When you stand in that light you are love, by extending that love to others you not only give to them, you give to yourself as well.
We are all the love and light of the world, the darkness cannot exist without our permission.
In loving others we find our greatest version of peace.
As you give yourself to others, connecting with them and showing them love you will find peace and your own version of heaven on Earth.
I invite you to try to see things differently.
There’s nothing more that I wish for you this holiday than peace.
