The single biggest problem with communication is
the illusion that it has taken place.~George Bernard Shaw
Are you an effective communicator? If so, how do you know?
Are people around you constantly wondering what you mean? Interpreting the words that you say as something completely different than you intended?
We all communicate in different ways. We use words and tone of voice, but we also have body language – including facial expressions, actions, lack of attention, vibes and presence.
Feedback for the way we communicate happens all the time. Sometimes the best way to find out how you communicate is to keep your mouth shut and your eyes and ears open.
No one is perfect but you will find that in communicating effectively others will understand you, and that even the simplest of things can be misunderstood.
